Just give me my crayons and I will be happy.
This is so true for me happiness is found in creativity. The creative process soothes my soul and keeps me grounded and centred.
Having a childhood love of drawing has led me to be the self taught artist I am today. I am always growing and exploring as an artist. I strive to stay open and learn new mediums, styles and subjects. I began with graphite hyperrealism and have evolved into painting using acrylic, oil and watercolour. A wide variety of subjects apart my interest. My wish is that each person may find something that resonates within my work. If my art warms your heart or makes you smile my goal has been accomplished.
Growing up with livestock on a mixed farm in south central Sask and then raising a family on a farm in the northeast kept my love of animals strong. Animal portraiture has always been one of my favourite subjects to create and explore as an artist.
