ARBIE KEPLER - METAL SCULPTOR
Today's society embraces the action of recycling, and as such, many have taken it upon themselves to express this action in their own field of work. Architecture to all forms of design, sculpture and craft, shows that new pieces created regardless of medium, can be altered to create something beautiful even useful.
As a landscape artist in various mediums, it wasn't until 2012 that I enlisted in sculpting classes through the University Of Saskatchewan's USCAD Program. Since that time I’ve focused solely on creating sculpture with sustainable materials.
With the use of steel in abstract form, I am able to capture and define the basic power and essence of each subject. Simplifying structure and eliminating detail, allows my works to boldly dominate the very area they inhabit.
